Xiaomi’s latest flagship smartphone introduces a range of hardware add-ons and software filters to enhance mobile photography. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra includes Leica-branded lenses and multiple shooting modes designed for both amateurs and professionals.
The device offers five built-in camera lenses, each with distinct focal lengths and capabilities. Users can switch between wide-angle, ultra-wide, telephoto, and periscope lenses without changing devices. The Leica Summicron lens is part of the primary camera setup, promising improved sharpness and color accuracy.
Software enhancements include preset filters that adjust exposure, contrast, and saturation automatically. A new night mode improves low-light performance by up to 50% compared to previous models. The interface allows manual adjustments for ISO, shutter speed, and white balance, catering to photography enthusiasts.
The phone also introduces a detachable magnetic lens adapter for macro and portrait photography. This accessory attaches magnetically to the main camera module, expanding creative possibilities. The adapter supports 1:1 macro shots and bokeh effects without additional software processing.
Xiaomi has bundled the device with a comprehensive photography kit that includes a tripod and remote shutter. The kit is designed to complement the phone’s hardware, offering stability for long-exposure shots and time-lapse videos.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be available in Europe and Asia starting next month with a base price of €1,199.
