Snowflake has introduced Snowflake LiftOff, a new program to help enterprises move workloads to the cloud faster. The initiative provides a clear roadmap, a risk mitigation plan, a landing zone setup and a production path for customers. These tools aim to reduce migration time and complexity for businesses shifting from on-premises systems to Snowflake’s cloud platform.
The program targets companies using legacy data warehouses or outdated infrastructure. Snowflake LiftOff includes automated assessments to identify migration priorities and dependencies. A dedicated team of engineers works with customers to plan each phase, from initial assessment to final deployment. The goal is to cut migration timelines by up to 50% compared with traditional methods.
Snowflake states that over 5,000 customers already use its platform for data storage and analytics. The company reports that organizations using LiftOff have completed migrations in as little as three months, whereas similar projects previously took six to twelve months. The program also includes training sessions for IT teams to ensure smooth adoption.
The initiative follows Snowflake’s push to expand beyond its core data warehousing business. Recent quarters have seen the company add features for real-time data processing and AI integration. Analysts note that cloud migration remains a top priority for large enterprises seeking cost savings and scalability.
Snowflake LiftOff is available now for existing and new customers. The company has not disclosed pricing details for the program.
