Amazon Web Services customers can now deploy OpenAI’s GPT models, Codex and Managed Agents directly within their cloud environments. The integration allows enterprises to build secure AI applications using OpenAI’s latest tools without leaving the AWS ecosystem.
AWS announced the availability following a partnership between the two companies. Customers gain access to GPT-4 and GPT-3.5 Turbo alongside Codex, OpenAI’s code generation model. Managed Agents, a new addition, enables automated workflows that interact with external systems using natural language.
Security remains a priority. AWS ensures data processed by these models stays within the customer’s virtual private cloud. Encryption standards meet existing AWS protocols, and access controls apply the same way they do for other AWS services.
The move follows OpenAI’s broader push to expand beyond its own platform. Microsoft Azure already hosts several OpenAI services. AWS now joins that list, giving companies more flexibility in choosing where to run AI workloads.
Analysts expect adoption to grow quickly. Many enterprises already rely on AWS for infrastructure. Adding OpenAI’s models means they can build AI features faster without managing separate AI hosting.
