OpenAI Launches Codex Desktop App for Local Code Editing

OpenAI has introduced the Codex App, a desktop application designed to enhance local code editing workflows. Previously available only as a command-line interface (CLI) and plugins for integrated development environments (IDEs), the new app enables users to run agents that edit files directly within the folder where the application is launched.
