A Stockholm-based AI startup, Redpine, has closed a €6.8 million Seed funding round to provide AI companies and agents with licensed, high-quality and multimodal data securely and at scale. The funding round was led by NordicNinja, with additional participation from Luminar Ventures and node.vc, both Nordic investment firms.
The new capital will enable Redpine to expand its platform, which focuses on delivering premium datasets for AI training and deployment. The company’s technology allows AI agents to access data without violating licensing terms, addressing a critical gap in the market where many models rely on unlicensed or low-quality information.
Redpine’s platform supports multimodal data, including text, images, and structured datasets, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. This approach reduces risks for AI developers who need reliable, legally sourced data to build and refine their models.
The investment follows growing demand for licensed data solutions as AI applications become more sophisticated. NordicNinja’s involvement signals confidence in Redpine’s ability to meet this need in Europe’s expanding AI ecosystem.
Founded in Stockholm, Redpine now plans to use the funds to hire more engineers and expand its data partnerships across Europe.
