The search for Norway's next generation of business leaders has begun with the opening of nominations for the Leader Talent of the Year 2026 award.
Organizers have invited professionals, colleagues and the public to submit candidates who demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities in their field. The award, now in its seventh year, recognizes individuals under 40 who have made measurable impacts in business, public sector or nonprofit organizations.
The nomination period runs from September 1 through November 15. A jury of industry veterans from finance, technology and public administration will review submissions. Last year's winner was Marte Røssland, CEO of renewable energy startup Solkraft, recognized for expanding the company's operations to three new countries within 18 months.
Previous winners include Anders Haugen from DNB Bank and Siv Stubsveen from Telenor, both cited for transforming digital customer service platforms. The award ceremony will take place in Oslo on February 20, 2026.
Applicants must submit a 500-word case study detailing leadership achievements, along with three professional references. The winner receives a NOK 250,000 grant and a year-long mentorship program with Norway's top executives.
