A new fixed-price meal bundle from KFC has drawn attention for its unusually large portions. The Value Feast package, priced at 299 rubles, includes two chicken meals, a large portion of fries, and a drink. Standard individual meals typically contain half the quantity of food in the bundle.
The promotion launched this week and is available at all KFC locations in Russia. The chain’s marketing department confirmed the bundle’s availability but did not provide sales figures. Earlier this month, KFC raised prices on several menu items by up to 15% due to inflation.
Consumers have mixed reactions. Some social media users shared photos of the oversized portions, while others questioned the long-term value of bulk purchases. A Moscow resident who tried the bundle said the portions were sufficient for two meals but noted the sodium content exceeded daily recommendations.
The Value Feast follows a trend of fast-food chains offering larger portions at fixed prices to attract price-sensitive customers. Competitors like McDonald’s have also introduced similar promotions in recent months.
KFC’s parent company, Yum! Brands, reported a 6% increase in global sales last quarter. The Russian market contributes less than 5% to the company’s total revenue.
