What gamers expected from cloud gaming was seamless streaming of their favorite titles. What NVIDIA delivered this week was a smarter way to organize those titles. The latest update to GeForce NOW introduces Xbox Game Pass and Ubisoft+ labels in the app. These labels appear directly in users’ libraries, making it clear which games come from each service.
The move addresses a growing need among PC gamers. Many own games from multiple platforms. Without clear labels, switching between services can become confusing. NVIDIA’s solution is straightforward: mark each game’s origin so users know where to play it. The labels appear in the app’s library view, next to the game’s title.
This update follows NVIDIA’s focus on improving game discovery. Earlier this year, the company introduced in-app tags to help users find games by genre or mood. The new labels build on that system. They target specific subscription services, reducing the time spent searching for a game’s platform.
The change arrives as cloud gaming competition intensifies. Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass and Ubisoft’s Ubisoft+ are major players. Both services offer large libraries for a monthly fee. By integrating their labels into GeForce NOW, NVIDIA makes it easier for users to see which games they can stream without downloading them separately.
NVIDIA did not announce new partnerships. The labels rely on existing agreements with Xbox and Ubisoft. The update is rolling out now to all GeForce NOW users on Windows and macOS.
