In 2020, a global shift toward remote work accelerated the need for secure software distribution systems. Five years later, Belfast-based Cloudsmith has raised €61.5 million in Series C funding to meet that demand, as artificial intelligence transforms how software is built and delivered.
The company, which operates a universal artifact management platform, announced the round led by TCV with participation from Insight Partners and existing backers. This follows a €21.9 million Series B in 2025, reinforcing Cloudsmith’s role in managing the growing complexity of AI-driven development workflows.
Cloudsmith’s platform stores and distributes software components, including AI models and datasets, ensuring version control and security across development pipelines. With AI tools increasingly integrated into software production, the company says its service prevents supply chain vulnerabilities that could disrupt critical systems.
The new funding will expand Cloudsmith’s infrastructure and sales teams, particularly in Europe and North America. The company reports a 300% increase in customer contracts over the past year, driven by demand for traceable, secure software components.
TCV partner John Doran said the investment reflects confidence in Cloudsmith’s ability to scale alongside the AI software ecosystem. The company competes with firms like JFrog and GitHub in a market valued at over $5 billion.
