Beehiiv introduced new tools on Tuesday that move it beyond its original function as a newsletter platform. The company launched a webinar feature, customizable paywalls, and other creator-focused tools designed to help writers monetize their content more effectively.
The webinar feature allows creators to host live or recorded sessions directly within the platform. This adds a new way for creators to engage with audiences and offer paid access to exclusive content. The paywall system now supports multiple tiers, letting creators set different access levels for free and paying subscribers.
These updates follow Beehiiv’s recent funding round in March, when it raised $20 million to expand its services. The company now competes more directly with platforms like Substack and ConvertKit, which also offer monetization tools. Beehiiv’s CEO, Tyler Denk, stated that the new features reflect demand from creators for more flexible ways to earn revenue.
The platform’s user base has grown to over 100,000 creators since its launch in 2021. The addition of webinars and paywalls aims to attract writers who want an all-in-one solution for content creation and distribution. Beehiiv will not charge extra for the new tools, keeping them available for all users on its paid plans.
The company plans to introduce more features in the coming months, including analytics upgrades and integrations with third-party services.
