Amazon Web Services has introduced a new feature in AWS Transform that automates the migration of business intelligence tools to Amazon QuickSight. The process, which previously took weeks or months, can now be completed in days. This reduces downtime and allows organizations to access data insights faster.
The migration begins in AWS Transform where users set up a workspace. From there, partner agents available through AWS Marketplace can be subscribed to. These agents unlock Amazon QuickSight capabilities, enabling teams to consume and analyze data more efficiently. The automation handles repetitive tasks, reducing manual errors and speeding up deployment.
AWS Transform supports multiple BI tools, including those from Microsoft and Tableau. Companies no longer need to rebuild dashboards or reports from scratch. The system migrates existing reports and adapts them for Amazon QuickSight, preserving familiar layouts and functionalities.
Early adopters report a 70% reduction in migration time. One financial services firm completed the shift in three days instead of three weeks. The automation also ensures data integrity during transfer, minimizing disruptions to ongoing operations.
The feature is now available in most AWS regions. Organizations planning a BI migration can start using it immediately without additional setup costs.
