Apple is developing six new product lines under a major expansion plan, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The categories include AI-powered AirPods, smart glasses, a wearable AI pendant, a smart home display called HomePad, a desktop robot, and dedicated security cameras. These devices are expected to launch in the coming years as part of Apple’s strategy to diversify its hardware portfolio beyond iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
Gurman, a well-known Apple analyst, reported that the projects are at different stages of development. The AI-AirPods and smart glasses are furthest along, while the AI pendant and HomePad are in earlier phases. The desktop robot and security cameras are also in development but have not yet been finalized for release.
The timing aligns with Apple’s executive transition. John Ternus, currently head of hardware engineering, is set to take over as CEO from Tim Cook later this year. Industry observers say the new products reflect Apple’s push to integrate artificial intelligence across its ecosystem. Apple has not commented on the report.
The expansion marks one of the company’s most ambitious product rollouts in recent years. If successful, these devices could open new revenue streams beyond the iPhone’s dominant share of Apple’s sales. Analysts expect the first products to debut in 2025 or 2026, though delays are possible.
